Funeral services for Robert Elmer Lollar, age 81, of Cookeville, will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. at Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church with burial in the West Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 6 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at the church. Mr. Lollar passed away Monday, April 5, 2010 at his home and surrounded by his family. He was born February 20, 1929 in Putnam County TN to the late Robert Herman Lollar and Agnes Bunola Lamb Lollar. Elmer worked for over 40 yrs. With Acme Boot Company with several of those years as manager of the Acme Boot outlet store on South Jefferson Ave. He also served as president of the Putnam County Singing Convention and served his church as Sunday School Teacher for 40 yrs. and Music Minister for 49 yrs. He is survived by his two daughters; Sandra Johnson (husband Jack) and Becky Mullins (husband Joe) and his son Bob Lollar (wife Judy), all of Cookeville. Elmer is also survived by two brothers; Delmer Lollar (wife Betty) of Clinton TN and James Lollar (wife Kathy) of Baxter. His six grandchildren include Kris Johnson (wife Maria), Brent Mullins, Charles Mullins (wife Jessica), Michael Mullins, Tammy Brady (husband Mark), and Robert Lollar (wife Tiffany) all of Cookeville. Mr. Lollar is also survived by four great grandchildren; Kelsey and Kaylee Mullins and Will and Wes Brady. Mr. Lollar was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Bowman Lollar and his parents. Pallbearers for the service on Wednesday will be Kris Johnson, Mark Brady, Brent Mullins, Charles Mullins, Robert Lollar, Will Brady and Wes Brady. Bro. Arvil Lee and Bro Gary Farris will conduct the services. The family has requested memorial donations be made to Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church or the West Cemetery Upkeep Fund.
