Elma C. Singleton, age 92 of Baxter, Tennessee, formerly of Hamilton, passed away at her residence on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 3:30 PM. She was born in Eaton on July 12, 1919 the daughter of Harry Clifford and Gracie Hope (Begoon) Cail. Elma was employed at General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1975. She was a former member of Allison Avenue Baptist Church. On October 25, 1945 in Hamilton she married Edward Singleton, and he preceded her in death in 1984. She is survived by a son, Harry Benge of Baxter, Tennessee and two grandchildren, Chuck Benge of Oxford and Chellee Hess of Camden. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and a sister. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Wendell Coning of Hamilton Dream Center officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
