Ellen Zimmerman

Graveside services and interment for Ellen Christine Zimmerman, age 72, of Cookeville, will be at 12 noon Saturday May 18 at Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time at the cemetery. Ellen passed away Monday evening May 14, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born October 21, 1946 in Putnam County, TN to the late Oakley and Maud Lafever Mott. Ellen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Cookeville and was a devoted disciple of Christ. She was the former owner of Willow Tree Health Foods. She retired from the US Postal Service with over 29 years of service. Ellen loved animals and spending time with friends and family. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Monroe of Cookeville; brother, Jerry (Josie) Mott of Pikeville, TN, Hubert (Lori) Mott of Southgate, MI; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Zimmerman; and sister, Joyce Ashby. Dyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
