Ellen Crawford

BAXTER-Graveside services and interment for Ellen Louise Crawford, 91 of Baxter, will be Wednesday, September 14 at 11 AM at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in the Boma Community. Bro. John Whitson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following services.

Mrs. Crawford died Monday, September 12, 2022 at NHC in Smithville.

She was born August 29, 1931 in Jackson County to the late Luther and Alice Hamilton Hammock.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dave Crawford on January 17, 2011, sons Durl, Roger Dale, David and Terry Crawford.

She was retired from housekeeping services at Cookeville Regional Medical Center with 22 years of service. She was also a homemaker and loved to cook.

Survivors include daughters Sharon Crawford and Vance of Nashville and Linda Penley of Black Mountain, North Carolina, sons Michael Crawford of Cookeville, Pat (Christy) Crawford of Silver Point and Greg (Kristi) Crawford of Cookeville, sisters Liz Hammock of Baxter, Juanita Crawford of Silver Point and Rose (Oneil) Herd of Michigan, brother Jim Hammock of South Carolina, 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren.
