Edward Orcutt Clemens

Funeral Services for Edward 'Big Ed' Orcutt Clemens, age 81 of Gainesboro, will be held at noon on Monday, December 19, 2011 in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home, with burial following in the Dodson's Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening December 18, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday, December 19, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at the Funeral Home. Mr. Clemens died Thursday, December 15, 2011 at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville. He was born April 20, 1930 in Sangerfield, NY to the late Leroy and Sarah (Alvord)) Clemens. Mr. Clemens was of the Baptist faith and was retired as an auto mechanic. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict,and will be buried with military honors. 'Big Ed' loved fishing, auctions, and Gaither gospel music. Edward was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by two sons, Edward (Grace) Clemens of Gainesboro and Tracy Allen Clemens of Rome, NY; three daughters, Lucille (Brian) Seelow of Hartsville, TN, Roselyn (Frank) Fernandez of Laguna Niguel, CA, and Christine (Bruce) Reisinger of Poteau, Oklahoma. Edward is also survived by one brother, Ernest (Elrena) Clemens of Oakdale, PA, and two sisters, Doris (Cliff) Tyzick of North Brookfield, NY, and Carol White of Ellion, NY. He was Grandfather to 14 grandchildren: Missy (Wade)Scott; James (Heather) Clemens; Patrick, June, JoJo, Jimmy Clemens; Lisa (Bobby) Crenshaw; Michelle (Gary) Graves; Lee Ann (Jason) Bates; Max Edward Fernandez (Lucy Brosche); Tina Hobbs (Jimmy); Bruce Wiser; Rebecca and Krystal Reisinger. He also leaves behind 18 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Roselyn, one son, Michael Clemens, two brothers, Ralph and Calvin Clemens, as well as two sisters, Melva Melvin, and Etta Pierce, and one grandchild, Ronnie Lee Duncan. Pallbearers will be James Clemens, Jason Bates, Gary Graves, Wade Scott, Brian Townsend, and Brent Morton. Brother Rick Burnett will be conducting the service.
