Eddie Moore

Funeral services for James Edward (Eddie) Moore, age 49 of Cookeville, will be held at 1 pm Saturday, December 13 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Pastor Cameron Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 – 8 pm and again Saturday from 10 am until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Moore died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 22, 1965 in Chicago, IL to Harold Moore of Cleveland, TN and JoAnn Chastain McGuire of Cookeville. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Ed McGuire. Eddie was a member of Cookeville First Church of God, and a former employee of the Cookeville Public Works Department. Eddie was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He was huge Nascar enthusiast and Jeff Gordon fan. He served the community by giving countless volunteer hours to the Putnam County Rescue Squad. In addition to his father and mother, he is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Teddi Moore of Scottsville, KY; two sisters and brother-in-law, Theresa and Danny Tincher, Tina Griggs and Tim Stafford all of Red Boiling Springs, TN; nephews, Jeremiah Johnson, Logan and Brandon Moore; his dog, Rowdy; and cat, George. Members of the Putnam County Rescue Squad will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Putnam County Rescue Squad, 700 County Services Drive, Cookeville, TN 38501.
