Earlene Williams

A private graveside service for Earlene Brown Williams, age 91 of Algood, will be held Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Crestlawn Cemetery. Rev. Albert Willis will officiate. A public memorial service will be held at the Algood United Methodist Church at a later date. Mrs. Williams passed away Tuesday evening September 22, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born Tuesday June 11, 1929 in Jackson County, TN to the late Jene "Mack" Brown and Ruby Elois Myers Brown. Mrs. Williams was a long time employee of Wilson's Sporting Goods. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Algood United Methodist Church. She is survived by the love of her life for 73 years, Ross E. Williams (whom she married May 4, 1947); two children and their spouses, Roger D. Williams (Janice) of Cookeville, Nancy C. Jackson (Lester) of Knoxville. She is also survived by her sister, Geraldine Brown Carter of Granville, TN. She was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother to Trenton Ross Williams (Jill), Shay D. Williams (Tiffani), Stacey R. Blackmon (Casey), Susan Seabold all of Cookeville; and Adam Landon Jackson (Ashley) of Knoxville; twelve great grandchildren, Addie Williams, Emma Williams, Molly Ross Williams, Haden Williams, Cohen Williams, Brody Blackmon, Easton Blackmon, Isla Seabold, Gretchen Seabold, Abram Seabold, Landon Jackson, and Beckett Jackson; special niece, Joyce Swallows of Cookeville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant brother, Albert Martin Brown, and brother-in-law, J. N. Carter. Pallbearers will be Lester Jackson, Trent Williams, Shay Williams, Adam Jackson, Casey Blackmon, Haden Williams, Cohen Williams, and Nolan Goolsby. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Algood United Methodist Church, 135 W Main St, Cookeville, TN 38506.
