Earl Jesse Reed

Funeral services for Mr. Earl Jesse Reed, age 84, of Boonville, IN and formerly of Cookeville, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 10 at Dyer Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Price officiating. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Tuesday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Mr. Reed passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at Transcedent Healthcare in Boonville, IN. He was born August 28, 1932 in Jackson County, TN to the late Walter and Evie May Harris Reed. Mr. Reed was the former owner of Buckeye Septic Service in Cookeville. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy McCarter Reed; daughter, Sandra Gail Reed; granddaughter, Kathy Osborn; brother, Burl Reed; and sister, Meryl Buck. He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Burt and Rita Reed of Sparta; Randy Reed of Boonville, IN; grandchildren, Christina (Chris) Collins, Amanda Skidmore, Athena DeWitt, Thomas, Montana, Brooklyn and Austin Reed; great-grandchildren, Devon Amole, Chase and Nathan Edmands, Robert Christian, Faith Skidmore, Parker Osborn, Samantha Osborn, and Emily Osborn; great-grandchildren, Ava and Evan Osborn, and Dawson Amole.
