Dristin Jared

BAXTER-Please join us in celebrating Dristin Dean Jared, age 23, of Silver Point, Tennessee who died Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in the Trauma Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. We especially appreciate and thank all members of Vanderbilt's Trauma Care Team, Surgeons, Nursing and Chaplains and to the first responders that arrived at the scene, for their compassion for our dear son, Dristin. We will forever be indebted to this team of professionals who supported us with always kindness and grace.

Friends and family are invited to join our family in a special visitation from 5 to 8 PM Friday, January 27 at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to Dristin's service Saturday at 2 PM January 28 at the Palmer Cemetery on Old Baxter Road, Silver Point where Bro. Tony Crowe and Bro. Chad Redmon will officiate. No visitation will take place at the funeral home before the service Saturday, everyone will meet at the cemetery.

For those of you who knew and loved Dristin, this will be a special time of honoring his love for the sport of baseball in which he gave completely 100 percent to every position he played on the team, to his devoted passion for hunting and fishing. As many know, Dristin was competitive in a way that appeared effortless from working out in the wee hours of morning at the gym before work to intense XBOX wins with friends to caring for his son Oaklen. Dristin loved life, his laughter was contagious, and his easy gregarious nature served to inspire many of us fortunate enough to know him.

Born on July 25, 1999 in Cookeville to Terry Dean and Shelia Rene Jones Jared of Silver Point, Dristin is preceded in death by grandparents Dean and Jean Jared, aunts Linda Jo Ward and Jessica Jones, and uncle Danny Jared.

Survivors in addition to his parents, include brother Tyler Joseph Jared of Silver Point, fiance Kyra Gunnels of Baxter, son Oaklen Dean Jared, grandparents: Frankie and Susan Jones of Rickman, aunts and uncles Della and Tracy Hyde, Darlene and Tom Davis, Eric and Jessica Jones, along with a host of cousins.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Dylan Yoder, Logan Cole, Andrew warren, Tom Bos, Kyle Randolph and Tristan Allison.
