Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Willey, 88, of Cookeville will be held Friday, May 4 at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with interment to follow in William J. Cherry Family Cemetery in the Arcot Community of Clay County, TN. Bro. Lynn Bullock and Bro. Marvin Saylors will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Willey died Tuesday evening, May 1, 2012 at her home. She was born February 13, 1924 in Clay County, TN to the late Rich and Bonnie Cunningham Eads. Mrs. Willey was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where she was very active in the mission program and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a retired Store Auditor with Goldblatt"�s Department Store in Springfield, Illinois. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Cherry, and her second husband, John Willey. Mrs. Willey is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Anna Rose Cherry of Cookeville; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John Latta of Effingham, IL; three grandchildren, Heather Latta, David Latta and William Cherry; one step grandchild, Jimmy (Donna) McBride; two great grandchildren, Caige and Cale McBride; one sister, Iva Dean Boastick of Palmer, IL and one brother, Willie Eads of Springfield, IL. Pallbearers will be Bob Birdwell, Mike Birdwell, Jimmy McBride, Caige McBride, William Cherry and Jack Eads.
