Funeral services for Mrs. James Dorothy Pugh, 83 of Cookeville will be held Tuesday March 6 at 1 o"�clock in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Bro. Johnny Fox and Bro. Kevin Daughrity will officiate. Mrs. Pugh died Sunday morning March 4, 2012 in Bethesda Health Care Center. She was born April 17, 1928 in Putnam County, Tennessee to the late James Solan and Ada Leona Dyer Cowan. She was retired from the former Stilman Corporation of Cookeville. She was a member of Sycamore Church of Christ and The Eastern Star Jefferson Chapter #489 in Detroit, MI. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Scarlett and Mona Ruth Kirby; and two brothers, Fred Cowan and Jeff Cowan. Survivors include her brother and sister "�in-law, Joel & Dorothy Cowan of Cookeville; two sisters, Mildred Harris of Cookeville and Carol Carr of Boma; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Pugh"�s family will receive friends Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
