She leaves behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by her family and those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Dorothy's devotion to her family was the hallmark of her existence. As a mother, she raised her beloved children with tenderness and wisdom. Dorothy was welcomed into Heaven by her husband of 62 years, Daniel C. Pippin, and is once again reunited with their daughter, Delynda Jo Pippin. Additionally, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Tom Bos, Sr., and her siblings, Willie Edgar Haney, Jack Haney, Louis Haney, and Joe W. Haney, along with her sister, Francis Lucille Haney, and several dear in-laws, Eva, Catherine and Dorothy Haney, and K.R. Norton.

Following her graduation from Jackson County High School, Dorothy's professional path was marked by her enduring commitment to education as a teacher's assistant with the Putnam County School System, where she shaped lives for 39 years. Her early years saw her skillfully contributing to the workforce at the shirt factory in Gainesboro along with taking pride in her role at Haney's Shop-Rite. Her dedication to her vocational roles never wavered.

Dorothy's love for her church family at Bloomington Springs Church of Christ was mirrored in how she loved her own family-with unfaltering faith and openness.
