Dorothy Hamrick

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Constance Hamrick, age 88 of Winder, GA and formerly of Cookeville will be held Friday July 13th at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Mike Campbell will officiate. Her family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Dorothy died Saturday evening July 7, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. She was born March 1, 1930 in Bloomington Springs, TN to the late Frazier and Mallie Billingsley Vaughn. Dorothy and her late husband lived in Livonia, Michigan for 35 years where she worked at General Motors as a sewing inspector. Upon retirement, they lived in Cookeville and attended Trinity Algood church. She has spent the past 6 years living with her daughter in Winder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert "Bob" Lynell Hamrick; brothers Ernest, Grant and Richard Vaughn; sisters Evelyn Cody, Helen Norden; children Mickey Croy, Gwen Croy and Tina Weygandt. She is survived by daughter, Tammie Croy of Winder; sisters, Jo Nelda Stamps and Shirley Crabtree, both of Cookeville and Linda Barker and husband Don of Florida; and by brother-in-law, Charles Hamrick of Higden, Arkansas and several grand and great grand children.
