Funeral services for Dorothy Ann Bryant, age 77, a former resident Zearing, Iowa who recently resided in Cookeville and McMinnville were held Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 6:00 pm in the Dyer Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Scott Parkison officiated. Her family received friends Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment was Wednesday, February 24th in Cookeville City Cemetery. Dorothy died Friday February 19, 2021 at McMinnville Boarding Home. She was born June 22, 1943 in State Center, IA to the late Jesse and Iva Bell Schultze Bryant. She worked as a cook in Ames, Iowa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Byron R. Bryant and Raymond C. Bryant; and nephew, Morris Bryant. She is survived by brother, John M. Bryant of Olympia, Washington; nieces and nephews, Kevin Bryant of Nashville, Julie Gunter of Woodbury, TN, Jerald and Tonya Bryant of Cookeville, Pamela and Brent Rumbley of Mt. Juliet, Karen and Patrick Murphy, David Bryant, Paul Bryant, Janice Bryant, Russell and Lori Bryant, Edward Bryant, Bonnie Obadal; and by sister in law and caregiver, Dianne Hurst Bryant of Cookeville. Jerald Bryant, Brent Rumbley, Luke Bryant, Daniel Bryant and Samuel Rumbley will serve as pallbearers. Dyer chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
