Doris Kathleen Whitaker

Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Kathleen Whitaker, age 77, of Cookeville will be Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday evening, March 21, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Cemetery. Doris departed from this life Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born January 18, 1937 to the late Edd and Sallie Mae Goodwin Eldridge. Mrs. Whitaker was a retiree of Foamex Corporation. Mrs. Whitaker is survived her daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Kevin Wagner of Cookeville; two granddaughters, Kristen and Emily Wagner; one sister, Mattie Jo Hickey; and a niece and nephew-in-law, Gail and Greg Greene of Memphis TN; as well as two-great nieces and a great-nephew. In addition to her parents, Doriswas preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Whitaker; a sister, Marie Eldridge; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Juanita Eldridge; a brother-in-law, Elzie Hickey, and an infant sister, Mary Frances Eldridge. Pallbearers will be family and friends with Bro. Johnny Fox conducting the services.
