Doris Haile

Funeral services for Doris Lovell Haile, 99 of Cookeville, will be Friday, March 17 at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Haile passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at Signature HealthCare in Algood. She was born April 9, 1917 in Jackson County to the late Jim and Annie (Chaffin) Norton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Patterson Haile; son, James C. Haile; son-in-laws, W.T. Flatt and Andy Alley; siblings, Irene Brown, Zella Morrison, Virgil Norton, Edwin Norton, and Arvil Norton. She was very dedicated to her spiritual family at Willow Avenue Church of Christ, where she was a member for 40 years. Survivors include: 3 sons Bobby Haile of Sparta, Barry Haile of Oak Ridge, and Tony (Angela) Haile of Murfreesboro; 2 Daughters Maudine Flatt of Cookeville and Linda Alley of Sparta; 1 daughter-in- law, Juanita Haile of Murfreesboro; brother, Frank (Irene) Norton; 11 grandchildren: Connie Miller of AZ, Joyce (Jeff) Ballard of Nashville, David (Sarah) Flatt of Bristol, Terry (Angie) Alley of Sparta, Randy (Kim) Alley of Sparta, Candace (David) Hugus of Knoxville, Tuesday Keener of Sevierville, Ashley Haile of Murfreesboro, Kayla (Chase) Roden of Murfreesboro, Debbie (Chris) Sanders of Chattanooga, and Pat (Carl) Hudgens of Murfreesboro; 17 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. Bro. Jeremiah Tatum and Horace Burks will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorial donations may be made to Willow Meals (1150 S. Willow Avenue, Cookeville, TN 38506) or Happy Haven Children's Home (2311 Wakefield Dr. Cookeville, TN 38501). Family will receive friends at Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
