Dorcas Langford

Funeral services for Ms. Dorcas Langford, age 86 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, September 22nd at 11 a.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Danny Lane will officiate. Interment will follow in Rockwell Family Cemetery. Ms. Langford's family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. She died Monday, September 19, 2016 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born December 12, 1929 in Cookeville, TN to the late Loyd and Odell Conley Rockwell. Dorcas was a talented seamstress, excelling at sewing, crocheting and quilting. She loved her garden of Irises and Roses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Goldie Raines. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Walker; sons, Taft and Darrell Langford, all of Cookeville; five grandchildren and by three great grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
