Dora Ruth Mccloud

Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Ruth McCloud, 70, of Cookville, will be held at 1 pm Sunday, November 4, at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Miles and Rev. Terry McCloud officiating. Interment will follow at Sand Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 "� 8 pm and Sunday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. McCloud died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Bethesda Health Care Center. She was born December 22, 1941 in Monterey, TN to the late Willie Walter and Pearlie Lee Copeland Dixon. Mrs. McCloud attended Wilhite Baptist Church and was a member of Cookeville United Freewill Baptist Church. She was a retired nursing assistant with Masters Health Care Center and the former Cookeville Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. McCloud served on the Board of Directors of the Cookeville Housing Authority. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Benton McCloud; two brothers, Claudell and Odell Dixon; and sister, Wilma Jean Chilton. She is survived by three sisters, Betty Farley and Frances Dixon, both of Cookeville, Bessie Addison of Winter Haven, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
