Donna Yarbrough

Visitation for Donna Jean Yarbrough of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday February 5th from 4 to 6 pm at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Donna passed away quietly at her residence during the night of February 2, 2014 after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 7 at 2 pm (EST) in the Abbey Chapel of Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Donna was born in Atlanta on November 8, 1939 to the late Marvin and Katherine Juhlin. She attended public school in Atlanta and completed secondary education in Long Branch, New Jersey. Donna earned a BS degree in Sociology from Tennessee Technological University and served for several years as a social worker in the Tennessee Department of Human Services. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sons, William Brewer Knight and David Wesley Knight. She is survived by two children, Cynthia Ann Schrader of Ackworth, Georgia and Michael Wylie Yarbrough; two younger sisters, Anne Jongema and Beverly Pineau both of Atlanta. In addition, Donna is survived by her long-time husband and companion David W. Yarbrough; grandchildren, Wesley, Lindsey, Megan, Amanda, Sarah and Alec, seven great-grandchildren and many friends in Putnam County, Atlanta and across the country. Donna has been the senior member and organizer of her family for decades. She sends greetings and thanks to her family and friends of many years for wonderful times and continuous support.
