Funeral services for Donna Jean 'Jeanie' Ashby, age 73 of Cookeville, will be held Monday October 8 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Bro. Mike Nabors will officiate. Interment will follow at Judd Cemetery in the Holladay Community. Her family will receive friends Sunday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again Monday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Jeanie died Wednesday October 3, 2018 in Cookeville from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born Sunday September 16, 1945 in Delaware County, Indiana to the late Ivan Wayne and Merna Kay Sheller Ashby. She was of the Nazarene Faith and a retired Dietitian with Cookeville Regional Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ivan Snyder and sister, Rita Chambers. Survivors include her son, Steve (Stephanie) Snyder of Baxter; daughters, Rhonda Smith (fiancee, Jessie Sevier) of Gainesboro, Kathy (Larry) Nabors, and Merna Snyder all of Cookeville; 15-grandchildren, Jeffrey (Audria) Snyder, Kashae (Jeff) Ford, Brooke Snyder, Steven Snyder, Valerie Snyder, Tabatha Campbell, Candace and Matt Clark, Devon Nabors, Shanae and Matt Tyree, Taylin and Cade Tucker, Elizabeth and Devon Bickel; 12-great grandchildren, and a great-great granddaughter; and three brothers, Darrell Ashby of Olympia, WA, Norman (Betty) Ashby and Gordon Ashby all of Muncie, IN.
