Donell Allen

Funeral services for Gary Donell Allen, age 59 of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday June 24 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Joel Hillis will officiate. Interment will follow at Cookeville City Cemetery. His family will receive friends Thursday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Friday from 10 a.m. until service time. Donell passed away Wednesday June 15, 2022 at his home. He was born July 7, 1962 in Cookeville to the late Deloy and Maymie Loftis Allen. Donell owned and operated Allen's Auto Trim. He was well known for creating one of a kind interiors on hundreds of custom show cars. Donell was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting big whitetail deer. He knew no stranger and made many friends along the way. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Pam Dexter Allen; sons, Matt Allen and Michael Allen; and brother, Rick (Wilma) Allen all of Cookeville. Donell also has several extended family members made up of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Allen.
