Donald Nash

Funeral services for Mr. Donald H. Nash, age 85 of Sparta, TN will be Monday, March 2, 2015 at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Grimes Cemetery. Donald passed peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at NHC of Sparta. He was born April 7, 1929 in Baxter to the late Lilburn Nash and Ella Dunn Nash. Mr. Nash enjoyed fishing, and growing his own vegetables. In his last years confined to a wheel chair he received pleasure feeding birds and watching them. Mr. Nash is survived by one son; Donnie (wife Margie) Nash of Sparta, one daughter; Marline Nash of Silver Point, five grandchildren; Cody, Sean, Dan, Bill, & Jessica; seven great grandchildren; two sisters; Lila (husband Carl) Johnson of Baxter, Mary Ellen (husband Carl) Donaldson of Cookeville, one brother; S.T. Nash of Baxter, one sister-in-law Cathy Nash of Baxter; and one daughter-in-law, Mary Tollison of Cookeville, He is also survived by the mother of his children, Freida Boyd of Cookeville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Nash, a son, Kennie Nash, and one brother; Malcom Nash. Bro. Stanley Gantt will be conducting the services. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
