Don Holloway

COOKEVILLE - A Celebration of Life for Donald Byrd Holloway, III, will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 4-6 p.m. at the Salt Box Inn & Stables located at 537 Hutcheson Rd. In Cookeville. The family will be gathering to share some of their favorite memories, their stories, to laugh, to cry and remember the wonderful person he was. Don passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a kind person with a contagious smile, who never met a stranger. Don was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend who is greatly missed. He was born July 9, 1977 in Cookeville to Don Holloway, Jr and Amy Fox. He was a 1995 graduate of Cookeville High School and worked as a manager at Racquet Master Fitness Center. Don made the most of his life. He loved animals and enjoyed gardening, reading, and days spent on Center Hill Lake. He enjoyed grilling and smoking meats and was an excellent cook. Don loved spending time with his family and friends and was a proud uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Don and Betty Holloway, and maternal grandparents, Leamon and Thelma Fox. He is survived by the love of his life, Jammie Goff of Cookeville; parents, Amy Fox and Don and Jan Holloway Jr, all of Cookeville; sisters and brothers in law, Kelly and Landon Gaw of Cookeville, and Elana and Chris Newton of Portland, TN; nieces, Tori Gaw, Shai Vaughan, Alexis Gaw, Jessie Gaw, and Charlee Gaw; nephews, Luke Newton, Bryce Gaw, and Bentley Gaw; great nephew, Maddex Vaughan; and a host of aunts and uncles.
