Dillard Grider

Funeral services for Dillard Grider, age 67, of Cookeville, will be held at 11:00 a.m, Friday, April 23, 2010 from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home with burial to follow in Stewart Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 22, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Grider passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at his home. He was born October 30, 1942 in Putnam County TN to the late Herman Grider and Nancy Bell Thomas Grider. Dillard was a retired city employee of Cleveland Heights Ohio, and was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by one brother, Clarence Grider and his wife Linda of Baxter, and one sister Billie Faye Palk of Cookeville. Dillard is also survived by several friends and many nieces and nephew. In addition to his wife, Camilla Ruth, Dillard was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Everett, Virgil, Lelburn, and Howard Grider, and one sister: Estell Hutchins. Pallbearers for the service will be family and friends. Bro. L. D. Anderson will conduct the services.
