Graveside services for Lawrence ‘Dewayne' McCloud, 67, of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, October 8th at 1 p.m. at Smith Chapel Cemetery. Pastor Rick Burnett will officiate. Visitation will immediately follow the service at the cemetery. Mr. McCloud passed away Monday October 5, 2015 at Standing Stone Care & Rehab in Monterey. He was born April 20, 1948 in Putnam County, TN to the late Willie Lawrence and Beulah Mae Blaylock McCloud. Mr. McCloud worked as a roofer and had been employed at Cookeville Sheet Metal for over 25 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Allen McCloud; son, John Austin McCloud; and by three sisters, Willie Mae Stafford, Shirley Stafford and Linda Allen. Mr. McCloud is survived by a daughter, Connie McCloud, sons, Lawrence (Crystal) McCloud Jr. and Jason (Crystal) McCloud; brother, Billy McCloud; sister, Betty Webb; four grandchildren, Timothy McCloud, Marie Clark, Ashley McCloud, and Austin McCloud; two great grandchildren, Amber Theis and Taylor McCloud; and by several nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hooper-Huddleston Horner Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses. Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements (931) 526-6111.
