Delowell Vaughn

Funeral services for DeLowell Hardy Vaughn, age 92 of Cookeville, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday January 11 at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Tim Miles will officiate. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. His family will receive friends Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service time. DeLowell passed away Thursday evening January 6, 2022 at NHC of Cookeville. He was born November 16, 1929 in Overton County, TN to the late Hardy and Avo Nancy Ramsey Vaughn. DeLowell attended Eastwood Baptist Church. He was retired from the Internal Revenue Service. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty Griffin Vaughn; sons, Steve (Deana) Vaughn of Brentwood and Michael Glenn (Louise) of Gallatin; daughter, Barbara Jean Vaughn of Nolensville; and brother, Leo (Katherine) Vaughn of Bremerton, WA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph, Holllis, Coy Vaughn; sisters, Illa Seiloff, Ethelene Oakes, and Kay Gareis Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
