Dayna Weaver, a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2024, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Born on January 5, 1945, in Washington, PA, Dayna lived a full and vibrant life marked by her service to her country, her passion for art, investing, the great outdoors, and her unwavering love for her family. She enjoyed following the various events of all of her relatives, both distant and near, and would discuss them often.
Dayna was a proud graduate of Cumberland County High School in Crossville, where she formed many lifelong friendships and developed her love for learning. After graduation, she served her country with honor as a member of the US Army, a period that forever changed her life and instilled in her a deep respect for her fellow servicemen and women.
Following her military service, Dayna channeled her entrepreneurial spirit into a successful career as a self-employed oil and gas producer, and later a dealer and collector of art and antique furniture. She was known to have an eye for value and an appreciation of quality craftmanship.
Dayna's interests were as varied as they were passionate. She was an art enthusiast, investor, and an avid outdoorswoman. Her happiest moments were spent hiking through nature's beauty and fishing in the quiet of a beautiful day.
A loving mother to her son, Clifford William Halvorsen (wife Patricia), Dayna's legacy of love and strength will live on through him and her cherished grandchildren, Logan Tyler Halvorsen, USMC Noah Chase Halvorsen, and Mason Carter Halvorsen. She deeply loved all of her siblings, Patrick Daniel Weaver, Mary Roberta Weaver, Amy Pauline Weaver, Robert Johnson Weaver, and Walter William Weaver. Dayna's memory will be treasured by her numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins, all of whom she held close to her heart.
Dayna was preceded in death by her parents, William Wilson Weaver and Frances Johnson Weaver, and her sister-in-law, Louellen Weaver.
Dayna's life was a testament to the power of a mother's love, the importance of family, and the joy that can be found in the simple pleasures of life. As she was a loving spirit, she was also known to be strong-minded and confident in her decisions.
In accordance with Dayna's wishes, no services are planned. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and her legacy will go on through her family.
