David Young

Jessie David Young passed away unexpectedly on October 25, 2023, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Born on February 6, 1955, in Jackson County, Tennessee, David was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.

David is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Young, and his devoted daughter, Estee Scott, and her husband, Richard. He was a proud grandfather to Cameron Scott and his wife, Brylee, and Caleb Scott. David also leaves behind his mother, Gearldine Jones Young, his sister, Debra Young Wilson and her husband, Jeff, and his step-children, Houston Bussell and Amber Belinger and her husband, Kyle, his step-grandchildren, Lucas, Brenden, and Carson. David was preceded in death by his father, Jess Young, and his sisters, Shelby Young Medley and Donna Jean Young.

David was a man of many talents. His work in construction, electrical, and plumbing was a testament to his resourcefulness and dedication. He was known for his ability to fix anything that was broken and could build anything from scratch. His friends and colleagues admired him for his hard work, sincerity, and the friendly demeanor he maintained even in the most challenging situations.

David's love for motorcycles was well-known among his friends and family. Despite his busy schedule, he always found time to ride his motorcycle, enjoying the freedom and thrill it offered. His love for adventure was infectious.

David's life was a testament to the power of hard work, dedication, and love. He was a man who put his family first and worked tirelessly to provide for them. His love for his work was only surpassed by his love for his family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him and he will be deeply missed.

Graveside services and interment for David will be at 1 p.m. Friday October 27 at Double Springs Cemetery. Bro. Mike Madden will officiate. His family will welcome friends Friday at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until time of departure to the cemetery at 12:30 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Cameron Scott, Caleb Scott, Mark Wilmoth, Houston Bussell, Chris Young, and Donnie Jones.
