David Stephen Hembree

COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for David Stephen Hembree, 51, of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rocky Point Cemetery. Family will receive friends today, Friday, Oct. 24, fom 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Hembree died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born June 12, 1957, in Cookeville to the late Robert Carl Hembree and Ruby E. Welch. Mr. Hembree was a member of Colonial View Baptist Church. He was an associate at Institutional Wholesale. His family includes his wife, Mildred Turner Underhill Hembree of Cookeville; a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Billy Geesling of Hilham; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Ken and Julie Underhill of Smithville; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Bobbie and Steve Bruton, Teresa and Ken Meadows, Gail and Don Conaster and Susie and Roger McDonald, all of Cookeville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Kathy Hembree and Terry and Cynthia Hembree, all of Cookeville; and five grandchildren, Peyton, Eli and Devin Geesling and Zack and Tyler Underhill. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hembree was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Rachel Underhill, and a brother, Billy Carl Hembree. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses. Rev. Don Wynn will officiate the services.
