David Merle Rhoads

Mr. David Merle Rhoads, age 77, of Grimsley, TN. entered into rest Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mr. Rhoads was born February 5, 1937 in Wheeler Township, Michigan to the late Merle Rhoads and Francis Cramer Rhoads. David was co-owner and operator of Rhoads and Shankel Farm Equipment in Wheeler, Michigan with his brother-in-law Valdo Shankel for many years. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1954 through 1957 and was a Past Master Mason in Breckenridge, Michigan. David is survived by his son, Michael (Karen) Rhoads of Breckenridge, Michigan; two daughters, Kathy (husband Billy)Baumchen of Perry, Michigan and Lisa Rhoads of Midland, Michigan. Five grandchildren, Jason, Dillon, Ashley, Angelo and Alex; one sister, Nancy Shankel of Wheeler, Michigan and his stepmother, Edna Rhoads of Florida. David is also survived by his companion of 20 years, Charlotte Adams & her family. Cremation has been chosen and services will be announced at a later time.
