David Hirsbrunner

Funeral services for Mr. David Victor Hirsbrunner, age 70, of Sparta, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Bass officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time. Graveside service and interment will be at 2 p.m. EST. Wednesday at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, KY. David passed away Wednesday May 30, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 18, 1947 in Louisville, KY to the late Carl Victor and Mariam Evans Hirsbrunner. David graduated from GM Institute (Kettering University) and started his professional career at General Motors. He retired with over 37 years of service serving in various capacities including district manager and advertising director. Following retirement, David followed his passion for the Bible by pursuing studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. He enjoyed studying and teaching scripture. David was a member of Stevens Street Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sandra Coleman Hirsbrunner of Sparta; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lisa Hirsbrunner; daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Tony Sok; five grandchildren, Bowen and Grant Hirsbrunner, Ian, Lydia, and James Sok, all of Dallas, TX.
