David Earl Marsh

Funeral Services for Mr. David Earl Marsh, age 85, of Howell, MI will be Sunday Morning, January 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, January 17, 2015 at Dyer Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Marsh entered into rest Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at MediLodge of Howell in Howell, MI. He was born May 23, 1929 in Sparta TN to the late William Beecher Marsh and Mollie Mae Wheeler Marsh. David was a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1950 through 1953, and was retired from Detroit Diesel after thirty nine years of service. Mr. Marsh was married to the late Virginia Elise Price Marsh for sixty-one years and she preceded him in death on January 16, 2013. He is survived by three children; Danny (wife Valerie) Marsh, Larry (wife Carrie) Marsh and Mike (wife Rosie) Marsh, all of Michigan, as well as one sister, Jean Pennington, of Cookeville TN. David is also survived by sisters-in-law, Rosa Nell Marsh and Era Mae Marsh and brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Elmus Lane. In addition, Mr. Marsh is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Mr. Jeff Marsh, Mrs. Phyllis Moore and cousin, Mrs. Wilma Jean Greene. His grandchildren are Danielle, Marissa, Matt, Billy, Scotty, Shannon, John, Brandon, and Michael, and his great-grandchildren are Christopher, Jacob, Olivia, Mattie, Elsie, Kayla, Milana, and Amelia. David loved fishing with his brother, Frank, and hearing deer hunting stories from his grandkids. He also loved playing cards and playing the stock market. Mr. Marsh was a loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. In addition to his parents and loving wife, Mr. Marsh was preceded in death by brothers, William Jr., Hershel, Kenneth, Bob and Frank.
