David Crabtree

Funeral services for David Harvey Crabtree, age 78 of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday August 13 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Roger Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow at Dodson Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time. Due to COVID-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. David passed away suddenly Sunday evening August 9, 2020 at his home. He was born November 9, 1941 in Detroit, MI to the late Gilbert and Elsie Boatman Crabtree. David earned a bachelor's degree in accounting at Tennessee Tech University. He was a retired auditor with the State of Tennessee. He is survived by two sons, Bob (Ann) Crabtree, and Russell Crabtree all of Cookeville; brother, Douglas (Susan) Crabtree of Lebanon; grandchildren, Joseph Smith, Sarah (Joey) Hawn, and Kaley Crabtree; and great-granddaughter, Jordyn Hawn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frieda (Gene) Holder. Hooper Huddlerston and Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
