Funeral services for Mrs. Cordelia Anna Rittman Bush Marling, 98 of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday July 8 at 11 a.m. (C.S.T.) at Heavenly Host Lutheran Church 777 South Willow Ave. Cookeville, TN with Rev. Andrew Smith officiating. Graveside services and interment will be Wednesday July 9 at 12 noon (E.S.T.) at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Seymour, Indiana with Rev. Ed Keinath officiating. Mrs. Marling family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Mrs. Marling died Saturday July 5, 2014 at NHC of Cookeville. She was born April 23, 1916 in Jonesville, Indiana to the late Elmer and Edna Schulte Rittman. Mrs. Cordelia was a caregiver at Seymour Hospital also for family and friends. She moved to Tennessee in 1992 and was very happy in her apartment at Putnam House. She had many friends who will miss her dearly. She was known for her great smiles, lots of hugs and the best Angel Food Cakes ever. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Neal William Bush and George Marling; son, Donald William Bush; grandson, Gregory Dean Spurgeon; sister, Anna Marie Townsend; and two brothers, Kenneth Rittman, and John Rittman. Survivors include her daughter Barbara Bush Spurgeon and husband, Dean Spurgeon of Cookeville; five grandchildren, Jackie (Jay) Duncan, Neal (Heidi) Spurgeon, Deanna (Barry) Smith, Chris Bush and Kelly Bush; six great grandchildren, Josh Farris, Jessica Duncan, Holly (Justin) Braumn, Ross Spurgeon, Gabby Smith, and Molly Smith; three great-great grandchildren, Cora Belle Farris, Cienna Farris, and Peyton Braun; sister-in-law, Joyce Rittman of FL; two special cousins, Phyllis Kreinop of Columbus, IND. and Maxine Thompson of Lake Jackson, TX; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be family members. The family would like to thank NHC Health Care of Cookeville for the great Care, kindness, and love they gave to "Ms Dealie." God Bless You.
