Cora Gore Fleming

Cora J. Allen Gore Fleming, age 96, of Algood, TN passed away on April 1, 2023 at Standing Stone Healthcare. Cora was born February 11, 1927 in Jackson County, TN to the late Amos Allen and Mertie Wilmoth Allen of Jackson County, TN. She is survived by three children and two step-children, Woodrow Gore Jr. (Irene), Patricia Pemerton (Jerry), Phillip Gore (Doris), Jeff Fleming (Brenda) and Gail Graham; 11 grandchildren, Karen Spurlock (Roy), Donnita Pearson, Karl Vonhaden, Annie Pippin (Ray), Tracey Pemerton (Melissa), Billy Pemerton (Leesa), Pamela Thompson (Johnny), Felicia Adams, Gabriel Gore (Jennifer), Courtney Gore and Heather Dickerson (Tim); 16 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Woodrow Gore Sr. and Horace Fleming; three brothers and four sisters.

Cora enjoyed cooking and worked in the food service industry for many years before becoming a homemaker and being "Granny Cora" to many.

Her wishes of cremation are being honored by her family and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
