Mrs. Constance "Connie" Pratt Ross, age 88 of Cookeville, TN, formerly of Franklin, TN, went to be with her Lord, July 27, 2015. Connie graduated from the University of Tennessee and also obtained a Master's Degree in Education from Tennessee Technological University. Connie was a beloved teacher who taught school for 40 years and was voted Teacher of the Year for the Putnam County School System in 1987-88. Connie loved their cabin in the Smoky Mountains, cooking for her family and friends, and the Tennessee Volunteers. Connie was a member of Algood United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Bertha Williams Pratt; daughter, Wanda Claire Ross Bennett; siblings, Marvin Houston Pratt, Clair Pratt and Sadie Pratt Kunzman. Connie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Charles Edward Ross, Sr.; son, Charles Edward Ross, Jr., (Judy); brothers, Harold (Mary Jo), Gerald (Sue Ann) and Jack (Jessie) Pratt; sister, Marguerite Pratt Church; grandchildren, Andrea Andrews Kline, Matthew Ross and Klar (Jim) Sullivan; great grandchildren, Catherine, Sarah Jane and Andrew Kline, and Chloe Sullivan. Pallbearers are Andrew Kline, Jack Pratt, Jr., Mitchell Ross, Stanley Ross, Bill Andrews, Edward Jones (Angel) and James Baker (Baby). A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Williamson Memorial Gardens, Pastor Pat Smith, officiating. Visitation will be held 12-2PM Thursday at the funeral home.
