Connie Rockwell

A memorial service for Mrs. Connie Rockwell, age 67 of Cookeville, was held Friday, January 15, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in the Wilhite Baptist Church. Bro. Tim Miles officiated. Her family received friends Friday from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Mrs. Rockwell died Saturday January 2, 2021 at her residence. She was born November 9, 1953 in Cookeville to the late Ted and Notie Lee Stewart. Connie had a gift and love for working and caring for children . She was director of Cookeville Regional Medical Center Children's Center, working at the facility for 26 years. She was a longtime member of Wilhite Baptist Church and enjoyed serving the church in many capacities. Most importantly, Connie cherished her family and enjoyed quality time spent with them in the Smokey Mountains. Mrs. Connie was preceded in death by her brothers, Ridley, James and Gene Stewart; and her brother in law, Bob Roberts. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Harvey Rockwell; son, Jeremiah Rockwell and wife Laura; daughter, Jessica Davis and husband Keith; grandchildren, Adyn and McGarrett Davis and Corey and AJ Rockwell, all of Cookeville ; brother, Floyd Stewart and wife Karen; and sister, Wanda Roberts, all of St. Louis, MO.
