Consuelo "Connie" Cass, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully at her residence in Cookeville on January 23, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on March 18, 1948, in Hartsville, Tennessee. Connie was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.

Connie's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds. She was the beloved wife of Jerry Cass, with whom she shared 56 years of unwavering partnership since their marriage on November 19, 1966. Together, they built a life filled with joy and cherished memories. Her legacy continues through her devoted children, Jeff Cass; Nikki Dakouvanos and her husband, John; and Sarah Allen and her husband, Matt. Connie's spirit will forever be reflected in the smiles of her grandchildren, Carter and Max Allen, Ava and Alex Dakouvanos, who knew her as their adoring "Mimi."

Connie was a sister and friend, held dear by her siblings, Wallace Butler and his wife, Clydean; Johnny Butler and his wife, Sherry; and Monease Chaffin and her husband, Donnell; Sisters-in-law, Carolyn Whitley and husband, Gene; Judy Estes and husband, Mike. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, each of whom she loved as her own. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Butler Sr. and Georgia Rene Driver Butler, and her brother and sister-in-law, Melvin Jr. and Judy Butler.

Throughout her life, Connie embraced the roles of wife, mom, and mimi with unparalleled passion. Her greatest joy was found in the simple pleasures of caring for her family. She was a pillar of strength and compassion, often caring for her aging parents with grace and dedication. To those who were lucky enough to know her, Connie's love was a gift that knew no bounds, and her presence was a source of comfort and happiness.

She was a very special individual whose impact will be felt for generations to come. Her warm smile and gentle nature made her a friend to all, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Her interests were as varied as they were heartfelt, always centered around the well-being and happiness of her loved ones. Connie's life was a reflection of the words that best describe her: loving and kind. She was a treasure to her family, a cherished companion to her friends, and an example of selfless love to all.
