Clifford Chaffin

Memorial services for Mr. Clifford Ray Chaffin, age 62 of Cookeville, will be held Sunday July 22, at 2 p.m. at Locust Grove Church of Christ with Teston Gilpatrick officiating. Clifford's family will receive friends immediately following services at the church. Clifford died Wednesday July 18, 2018 in Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. He was born Monday December 19, 1955 in Detroit, MI to the late Oscar Thurrell and Dottie Pierce Chaffin. In Detroit he worked with General Motors and after moving to Cookeville worked several years with the Maintenance Dept of Putnam County Board of Education and the Environmental Services Dept at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Fairview Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Debbie Underwood Chaffin (whom he married June 5, 1993 in Hazel Park, MI), son, James Chaffin, two daughters, Rebecca and Rachel Chaffin all of Cookeville; two brothers, Barry (Mary) Chaffin of Royal Oak, MI, Mark (Ann) Chaffin of Utica, MI; niece Emily, and nephews, Gordon, Neil, and Zachary (wife, Brianna).
