Clay Woods

Memorial services will be scheduled for a later date for Mr. William Clay Woods, age 80 of Cookeville, who died Monday morning June 1, 2015 at his home. Clay was born February 20, 1935 in Bald Knob, Arkansas to the late Lawrence Luster and Emily Rosella West Woods. He was a retired firefighter with the Anchorage, Alaska Fire Department. Clay is a member and a former Pulpit Minister at Asbury Church of Christ in Knoxville. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Travis Martin. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Karen Anne Barenchik Woods; daughter and son-in-law, Cyndi and Mark Smith all of Cookeville; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Alan and Carol Woods of NY, Johnny Woods of Owens, KY, Tommy Woods of Frankfort, KY, Mike and Val Woods of Anchorage, AK, K.C. and Cathy Woods of Wasilla, AK; 10-grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
