Clara Qualls

Funeral services for Ms. Clara Qualls, age 92, of Algood, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday September 1 at the Algood Family Event Center, 124 1st Avenue, Algood, TN. Bro. Kelly Stockton, Bro. Tim Miles, and Bro. Albert Willis will officiate. Interment will follow at Algood City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time. Ms. Qualls passed away Tuesday morning August 28, 2018 at Cedars Hills Senior Living in Cookeville. She was born September 12, 1925 in the Spring Creek Community of Overton County, TN to the late Charlie and Rebecca Jane Bilbrey Qualls. Ms. Qualls was a long time member Algood United Methodist Church. She is fondly remembered as an amazing Sunday School teacher. She was retired from Wilson Sporting Goods and retired from a second career as a social worker with the State of Tennessee.. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Willis, Hollis, and Billy Qualls; three sisters, Denton Qualls, Mae Henson, and Hazel Poteet; niece, Genevieve Wright; nephew, Douglas Henson; and great nephew, Robert Cooper. She is survived by a brother, Haskell Qualls of the Spring Creek Community in Overton Co; sister-in-law, Lorene Qualls of Rickman; and special nieces, Barbara (Dick) Withers of Anderson, IN, and Marie Cooper of Plano, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are Marty Henson, Scotty Henson, David Norris, Buddy Qualls and Jason Wright. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Qualls and Loyd Norris.
