Claire Ohlwiler

Mrs. Claire Louise Ohlwiler, age 95 of Rock Island and formerly of Orlando, FL, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at RiverPark Hospital in McMinnville. A memorial service will be held at a later date. She was born September 17, 1920 in Rochester, NY to the late Clair and Alice VonRitter Owen. She was a graduate of Monroe High School and a graduate of Rochester Business Institute. She and her late husband were longtime residents of Orlando, FL. She has been a member of Rock Island Presbyterian Church and Rock Island Ladies Club since moving to Rock Island in 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Ralph D. Ohlwiler; and by sisters, Ruth Haschka and Dorothy Chambers. She is survived by her daughter, Jean (Ronnie) Madewell of Rock Island; son, Robert Ohlwiler of Land O' Lakes, FL; grandchildren, John (Britany) Ohlwiler of Fruitland Park, FL, Robert (Belinda) Wilcoxson of Doyle, TN and Michael (Crystal) Wilcoxson of Sparta, TN; and by great grandchildren, Bryce Wilcoxson and Jessie Bunch.
