Cindy Grosklaus

Cynthia Mary Grosklaus, 61, passed away at her home with Family after a long battle with Cancer. Visitation will be held at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home in Cookeville from 4:00 – 6:00, Friday Sept 14th, with a public prayer service to follow. A Private Family Service and Interment will be at a later date. Cindy was born in New Haven, CT to the late Clayton & Virginia Finer. She married Mike Grosklaus in 1985 in New Haven, CT where they lived for 18 years. Cindy worked for Seton Name Plate Company and Bic Company in Customer Service until the birth of her first child. She and Mike moved to Cookeville in 1999 where Cindy was active in many local activities. Cindy had a Brain Tumor removed in 2000 and with the help of many Prayers and great Doctors she fought and survived well past most expectations. She always had a positive attitude and refused to give up. She is survived by her husband Mike and Children James of Cookeville, and Katie of Nashville. She has 2 Sisters Lillian Staron and Virginia Budeit & her Husband Mark Budeit that still reside in the New Haven CT area. The family would like to particularly thank Cindy's Caregivers Christy Crawford, Pam Bowman, and Marleen Brown from Home Instead for the Love and Friendship they showed in helping care for Cindy. Cindy will rest peacefully knowing her Family is surrounded with Love, Support, and Prayers from their Friends and Community. Cindy is now enjoying well earned Peace in Heaven along with her loving Parents.
