Cindy Floyd-Hill

Mrs. Cindy Kay Floyd-Hill, age 61, of Cookeville passed away December 16, 2018 at her home. She was born October 12, 1957 in Ada, Oklahoma to the Joe M. Floyd and the late Vivian LaVerne Baldwin Floyd. Cindy moved with her family to Cookeville where her father, Joe M. Floyd, began his career at Tennessee Tech University in the Department of Industrial Technology. Cindy was a 1975 graduate of Putnam County Senior High and earned an Associates degree in fashion design in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was employed as a Financial Aid Compliance Director/Consultant, as well as being a co-owner of Cumberland School of Technology and Middle Tennessee School of Cosmetology. These were later sold, and the Cosmetology school became Genesis Career College, where she was again employed in the Financial Aid department. In addition to her father, Joe M. Floyd, she is survived by her husband, Nathan Hill; daughter, Lizabeth Hill, and by her brother, J. Michael Floyd, all of Cookeville. Services will be held at a later date.
