Christine Harmon

Mrs. Eva Christine Harmon, age 93, of Cookeville, passed away Thursday December 13, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Private graveside services will be held at Williams Chapel Cemetery in Byrdstown, TN. She was born February 12, 1925 in Pickett County, TN to the late James Ira and Ora Mae Cargile Mitchell. Mrs. Harmon was a member of Stevens Street Baptist Church. She was retired from Wilson Sporting Goods with over 35 years of service. Mrs. Harmon, Ma Chris as she is affectionately known, is survived by her son, Keith (Carolyn) Harmon of Cookeville; three daughters, Linda Riddle, Phyllis (Bobby) Pugh, all of Cookeville, Lillis (Leo) Matheny of Warrenton, VA; eight grandchildren, Carla Riddle, Robert (Letha) Riddle, Jeffery (Kimberly) Harmon, Beth (Will) Girdley, Scott (Rachel) Pugh, Brandace (Mitchell) Lewis, Shannon (Michael) Barsotti, and Justin (Natale) Matheny; and (22) great-grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ray Harmon; brother, Robert Mitchell; and sister, Edna Cowan Newcastle, IN.
