Charlie Robbins

Graveside services and interment for Charlie Gladstone Robbins, age 90, of Cookeville, will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 20 at Overton County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery. Mr. Robbins passed away Wednesday October 17, 2018 at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN. He was born January 7, 1928 in Overton County, TN to the late Elihu and Elva Robbins. Mr. Robbins was a Korean War veteran having served in the US Army. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Sue Bruce of Louisville, TN; two granddaughters, Leann (Tim) Hicks of Louisville, TN and Mary Jo (Scott) Willocks of Maryville, TN; two great grandchildren, Chad (Angie) Hicks, and Beth (Grayson) Wright; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob and Harper Hicks, and Peyton Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Anita Matheny Robbins; and two brothers, Cross and Billy Robbins.
