Graveside services and interment for Charles Whiting, age 72 of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday, November 17th, at 2 p.m. at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery. Mr. Whiting died peacefully at home surrounded by family, on Saturday November 14, 2020. He was born November 12, 1948 in Fostoria, Michigan to the late Leon and Dorothy Sites Whiting. Charles loved the Lord and his family and will be remembered for his caring positive nature and sense of humor. He served as a missionary in Pakistan and was a charter member of Grace Presbyterian Church upon its founding in 1993. He was a gifted artist and previously owned Country Cabin and Gifts and Flowers. He enjoyed camping, fishing, painting, making flower arrangements, going to football games, and spending quality time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 30 years; and by sister, Nancy Whiting Yuhasz. His family includes his late wife, Judi Sandra Caskey Whiting; daughters, Marie Elizabeth Hofmann (husband Claus Hofmann) of Pogradec, Albania and Leah Dawn Quarles (husband Roy Quarles Jr.) of Murfreesboro; nine grandchildren, Jacquelyn Quarles Cassidy (husband Sean Cassidy), Kai Hofmann, Logan Charles Quarles, Silas Hofmann, Faith Quarles, Isabella Quarles, Isaac Quarles, Chase Quarles, and Brady Quarles.
