Graveside services and interment for Charles Lee McCoy, 37 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, August 4 at 10am at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Pastor Steve Chatman will officiate. His family will receive friends Thursday immediately following the services at the graveside. Mr. McCoy died July 30, 2016 at his residence. He was born August 31, 1978 in El Paso, TX to the late Jerry McCoy, Sr. and Sandra James (John) Michael. He attended Berker High School in Richardson, TX. He moved to Cookeville nearly 20 years ago and worked as an aquatics manager at Petco and as an automobile technician at Express Oil Change. Charles was a giving, kindhearted and thoughtful man who loved his family dearly. He was a member of the River Community Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry McCoy, Jr. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Whitney Harley-McCoy; children, Chance, Trinity and Braylen McCoy of Cookeville; sisters, Rae Langston of Lake Dallas, TX, Paula Orr of Clovis, CA and Melissa Cole of Bakersfield CA; brothers, Patrick Branighan of Charlotte, NC and Tim Balto of Las Vegas, NV; step brother, Jon Michael of Jacksonville, FL and step-sister, Kelly Cook of Knoxville; and by niece and nephew, James Drew Braninghan and Ashlee Hassell.
