Charles Edward Wilkerson

PENNSYLVANIA -- Graveside services and entombment for Charles Edward Wilkerson, 72, of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, at Calvary Cemetery in Pittsburgh, Pa. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home in Cookeville. Mr. Wilkerson died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 25, 1936, in Charlottesville, Va., to the late Elizabeth Wilkerson. Mr. Wilkerson was retail manager for Woolworth and Howard Brothers. His family includes a daughter, Cathy Wilkerson of Cookeville; a son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Delisa Wilkerson of Huntsville, Ala.; and two grandchildren, Brenna and CJ Wilkerson, both of Huntsville. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita C. Wilkerson and a brother, Warner Wilkerson. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
