Charles Dow Huddleston

BAXTER CHAPEL-Charles Dow "MOTOE" Huddleston, 83 was born September 30, 1941 in Los Angeles County, California, he died Friday, February 14, 2025 at his home in Buffalo Valley, TN.

He was a 1959 graduate of the last class of Baxter Seminary before becoming Upperman High School.

Dow spent much of his life working as a supervisor in the construction industry throughout Middle Tennessee. He enjoyed helping his dad and brothers at the family Buffalo Valley Drag Strip lining up the cars for the big races. He also worked with the family at Cookeville Electric Motor.

Dow was a true Tennessee Volunteers fan and enjoyed watching their games and NFL football and Upperman High Football.

He enjoyed hunting and the outdoor spirit.

He was a person who helped many individuals thru some tough times in their life.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Angela "Angie" Joy Huddleston on July 15, 2018, son Christopher "Chris" Dow Huddleston on April 17, 2024, his parents Clarence Taylor and Eleanor Ensor Huddleston, brother and sister-in-law Clarence Taylor Huddleston, Jr. and Bettye Leftwich Huddleston.

He leaves behind a daughter Charlotte (Jeff) Frasier of Cookeville, brothers Ronnie (Belki) Huddleston, Gary (Theresa) Huddleston all of Buffalo Valley, grandchildren: Sam (Alisonn) Fountain, Carley DeVasher, Noah DeVasher, Hollister "Holly" Marie Huddleston, great grandchildren Jazlyn Blair Fountain and Hadley Jane Fountain and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Dow will Saturday, February 22 at 1 PM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home, 532 4th Avenue South, Baxter, TN 38544, Pastor Houston Jared will officiate. The family will receive friends only on Saturday from 11 AM until service time at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Jared-Huddleston Cemetery on Stanton Ridge Road in Putnam County.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
